And, a long time personal friend of Paul & Dave. Doug has stayed connected to his former college coaches, and has consistently shown his gratitude for the impact they had on his life by giving back every chance he has. Most recently he taught the ERA Students his Memory Strategy for improving ones ability to learn and retain. It is a Memory Lesson he teaches all of his classes at the beginning of each school year; and he has refined this valuable Memory Strategy over the years, and now shares it with Eagle Ranch Students on a regular basis.
Doug and his wife (Leslie) are important contributors to many community causes, and they have decided Eagle Ranch must be one of those causes. They contribute their time and resources on a regular basis. Doug not only teaches his Memory Strategy, but also provides haircuts for ERA Students. Leslie works in the Dental business, and provides dental hygiene supplies to ERA. They are also actively involved with youth in a variety of ways such as the local YMCA; and even more important they have raised 2 beautiful daughters. Doug and Leslie know what it is to give someone a helping hand, and they are a valuable “Special Guest” for Eagle Ranch Students.
Dave Arslanian says – “We are very appreciative of Doug and Leslie, and the unselfish way they give of themselves to our Students. They are very special friends. Doug was one of the best football players Paul and I ever coached, and we are even more proud of the quality of man he has become. We were happy for him when he married Leslie, and saw that not only did he have good taste in choosing coaches to play football for, but he had an even better taste in women. We always kidded Doug about being an over-achiever, but if you ever meet Leslie, you will know that he may be the greatest over-achiever of all time. Seriously though, Doug has always been a high achiever, and we are very proud of him and honored to have Doug & Leslie as friends.”
